Griffin, Johnny: A Blowin' Session (Vinyl LP)
Tax included.
Johnny Griffin called upon his fellow master practitioners of the tenor saxophone John Coltrane and Hank Mobley for his second Blue Note album A Blowin' Session in 1957. The fiery set features trumpeter Lee Morgan balancing out the three-tenor frontline while a rhythm section with pianist Wynton Kelly, bassist Paul Chambers, and drummer Art Blakey stokes the fires.
This Blue Note Classic Vinyl Edition is stereo, all-analogue, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes, and pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal.
