Celebrating its 55th anniversary, Irish rock band Thin Lizzy released their debut studio album on April 30, 1971.The album was followed by the New Day EP, produced and recorded by Nick Tauber at Decca Studios and released in August of the same year.

It was the band’s first album with the original line up of Phil Lynott (Bass and Vocal), Eric Bell (Guitar) and Brian Downey (Drums). This LP was Thin Lizzy putting all they had into the music and taking risks. It’s passionate, high energy and distinctive.These deluxe releases celebrating the 55th Anniversary of Thin Lizzy’s debut studio album feature rarities, BBC Sessions and unreleased music never previously heard.
