The Belgian duo Jan and Sis Matthé make, according to their own statement, either electronic pop music with vocals or just songs with synthesizers and singing. However, their design sounds so sacral, so dark, so different, so profound that their new album seems like a summoning. Only of what?

Like an echo from the depths of the eighties: The songs on the album sound as if Stacks recorded them at a dark hour in the ruins of a church with a disco ball above the altar. If it weren’t for the sacred, expansive vocals, this sound would seem abandoned by humans
