Some Other People: Voices In My Head (Vinyl LP)
Tax included.
1992 is said to be one of the best years for making house music. 'Voices In My Head' typifies the dance music scene of '92, Each of the 8-tracks has something special.
Recommended if you like the House sound of '92. Mark Lord, Matt Frost, and Steve Jueno - collectively known as Some Other People, are the creative force behind it, born from diverse musical backgrounds.
Despite their musical backgrounds, their synergy in the studio was immediate and natural, resulting in a series of unplanned, organic electronic recordings. They would spend the week collecting ideas, load up their S-3000 samplers, fire up the Sabre mixing desk, and dive into creating the music they wanted to hear. In the early 1990s, they founded Infinite Mass Records, a UK-based progressive house label that became a significant underground presence.
At its peak, Infinite Mass was even more prominent than Warp Records, with remixes from DJs like Fabio Paras and Eddy Fingers contributing to its cult status. Tracks like 'Ghost House' and 'Orbitality' (which appeared on various compilations) remain highly coveted, and original vinyl copies now command hefty prices on the second-hand market.
As Matt Frost puts it, 'We are proud to bring these tunes back to life again for you.' Fans will be delighted to hear that the original back-catalogue tapes have been carefully transferred and ready for reissue in 2025.
