Originally recorded in 1972, Nelson Angelo e Joyce is a beautifully understated LP that blends bossa nova, psychedelic folk, and ritualistic percussion into a unique and spiritual listening experience. This was Joyce’s only professional recording between 1971 and 1975, and it captures a rare and sincere collaboration with guitarist-composer Nelson Angelo.
Alternating vocals and minimalist instrumentation give the album a trance-like intimacy, rich with nature sounds and poetic atmospheres.
