Recorded at Channel One, the LP Give The Youth A Try is a solid classic in the career of Little John. Released in 1983 by Live & Learn label and produced by Delroy Wright and Henry Junjo Lawes, this musical work finds the teenaged Little John beginning to come into his own as a reggae singer.
His phrasing is mature and the instrumental accompaniment by the Roots Radics, who were at the peak of their powers during this period, is excellent as usual.
