Friedberg : Goodwife

With an escapist blend of post punk, alt-rock and alluring pop-infused songwriting, Friedberg’s sound is primed for a night out. The project itself was born out of a vision to create a totally new sound for London-based, Austrian born Anna Friedberg (writer, vocals, guitar) and backed by a stellar cast of touring musicians. The first single "Hello" is one of the many upcoming highlights from FRIEDBERGS debut album "Hardcore Workout Queen". The enthusiastic, uplifting and positive song already attached attention. Fans are desperately waiting for new music since her glorious support shows for Placebo in Europe, Hot Chip in UK and Annemaykantereit in Germany. With 'Goodwife' Friedberg will release their second long player, again via Clouds Hill. Bringing together their distinctive own-brand of groove-based alt-rock, with ‘Hardcore Workout Queen’ Friedberg broaden their sonic palettes: psychedelia, math-rock, post-punk and beyond all joining the fray, often coupled with huge pop-leaning hooks. The results? An electric debut album that is undeniably Friedberg.
