American Steel: American Steel (CD)
Tax included.
American Steel is the last great band to come out of Berkeley's 924 Gilman scene. Forged in the same fires as Operation Ivy, Crimpshrine and Rancid, these soulful punks have at long last decided to unearth their self-titled album from 1998.
American Steel evolved into one of the most artful and sophisticated punk bands around, but this quartet began as a truly raw and wrathful DIY outfit, and we're grateful for the opportunity to share this 17-song hidden gem. We have been begging the band to release this material since Red Scare first began. Literally pestering them for twenty years. Listen to this dynamic debut and you will understand why.
