Atheist: Elements (CD)

Atheist is a death metal band hailing from Sarasota, Florida. Founded in 1984 by vocalist/guitarist Kelly Shaefer and drummer Steve Flynn, the band quickly made a name for themselves with their intricate and technical musicianship, blending together elements of death metal, jazz, and progressive rock.

Their 1991 debut album, Piece of Time, is widely considered a classic of the genre, showcasing the band's virtuosic playing and complex song structures. Atheist continued to push the boundaries of death metal with their subsequent albums, Unquestionable Presence (1991) and Elements (1993), both of which received critical acclaim.
