Regular price
€14.95
T-Bone Walker’s I Get So Weary, released in 1961 by the Imperial Records label, is a terrific collection consisting of 14 tunes from the wildly influential blues legend, to whom electric blues and rock music owe their existence. It features Walker’s 1951-1953 sides from his Imperial period, which represent the transition from his notable Black & White recordings to his LP debut in 1960 on the Atlantic label.
Among the highlights is the song that gives name to the album: “I Get So Weary”, as well as the essentials “I Miss You Baby,” “Party Girl,” and “Here in the Dark”, on which Walker is backed by such musicians as Dave Bartholomew and his band, Maxwell Davis, and Billy Hadnott.
