The Reverberation Appreciation Society are proud to welcome Black Rebel Motorcycle Club with the seventh vinyl release in the Live at Levitation series. The release showcases the bands appearance at the festival with their 2013 performance. The multi-track recordings were assembled and mixed in the studio of BRMC co-founder Peter Hayes, bringing these tracks back into the light.
In the early 2000s, San Francisco's Black Rebel Motorcycle Club were part of a vanguard of acts spearheading a garage rock revival - each a beacon of the staying power of gritty guitar music: The White Stripes and Dirtbombs in Detroit, The Kills in London, The Strokes and Interpol in New York, The Raveonettes in Copenhagen - the list goes on. Each made their mark, and BRMC’s take on rock and roll in the 20th century was particularly alluring - dark and atmospheric, their debut LP took them immediately out of the underground and onto stages worldwide, bringing their rock and roll manifesto to a new generation of music fans and artists.
